Inspiration in the Morning Archives #12

Inspiration in the Morning... 391
"We do not need magic to transform our world. We carry all the power we need inside ourselves already. We have the power to imagine better."~J. K. Rowling, Harvard Commencement Address, 2008
My Add: To imagine a better world, can be the start to making a difference. It can also be the start to creating a written story. We never know where it will lead us, until we take the first steps. (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 392
"To invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of junk."~Thomas A. Edison (1847 - 1931)
My Add: Even if we have been told for years that the stuff we have collected for any arts/ crafts we plan on doing is junk... it does not mean it is. It could be just that they don't know what we want to do with it, or their lack of imagination. But it always helps to "weed through" it, just in case we do have some "junk" in there. Spreading the Love of creativity!!! (^^^)

Inspiration in the Morning... 393
"Imagination is the one weapon in the war against reality."~Jules de Gaultier
My Add: When reality gets us down, imagination can sometimes "kick in". When this happens we never know what "adventure" we may have. It could bring us "down" with negative thoughts, but it better when we become inspired from it. Many WICKED (in a good way of course) things have come out of negative situations, opinions, etc... by simply seeing where improvements are needed. Keeping an open & optimistic attitude doesn't hurt either. Sending "good vibes" your way...
HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 394
"Imagination is more important than knowledge..."~Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955)
My Add: Why? Because without imagination many of the "what if"s that develop into knowledge, would be seriously lacking "out of the box" thinking that is so needed for progression/ innovation. HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 395
"Science may set limits to knowledge, but should not set limits to imagination."~Bertrand Russell (1872 - 1970)
My Add: Imagination it the foreground to knowledge. With limits, we lose a freedom to think freely. Without it, we are "lost in the dark". So let your imagination run free, and let's try to keep it positive. WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 396
"When ideas fail, words come in very handy."~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749 - 1832)
My Add: In this instance, words would come in handy for "throwing the idea around" until something "helpful"/ a better way of explaining it comes out. Of course, they are also handy for the development of the idea, to come into reality. What would we do without our words... ? HAPPY MONDAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 397
"Every composer knows the anguish and despair occasioned by forgetting ideas which one had no time to write down."~Hector Berlioz (1803 - 1869)
My Add: I have this to be true time and time again with myself. Even with a "handy dandy" note book, do I find that writing things down are not always given the time in some circumstances. All I can do is keep trying to retain the memory, long enough for that "golden writing opportunity".
Spreading the LOVE... HAPPY TWISTER TUESDAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in The Morning... 398
"This is my answer to the gap between ideas and action - I will write it out."~Hortense Calisher
My Add: Any idea can be GREAT!!! If we write them down, it's the first action to bring them into REALITY!!! HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in The Morning... 399
"Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living."~Miriam Beard
My Add: Travel can definitely do more than change one's view points. It can "stir the pot" of our imaginations, inspire us to do GREAT things, and even change our lives! YUP! Inspirations surround us throughout our many adventures in this journey we call "Life"! So my question to you is... What inspires you "out there"?
HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in The Morning... 400
"I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones."~John Cage (1912 - 1992)
My Add: New ideas bring about changes. Sometimes we think they are bad changes, but really they (more often than not) are NEEDED changes that bring about the "good for us" changes in Life. Some old ideas still "ring true to this day", but (more often than not) many have become "stagnant"/ needing change, irrelevant, or even obsolete. It's up to each of us (as individuals) to decide what "works best for you". After all, it's not their life... it's yours!
WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 401
"All this will not be finished in the first 100 days. Nor will it be finished in the first 1,000 days, nor in the life of this administration, nor even perhaps in our lifetime on this planet. But let us begin."~John F. Kennedy (1917 - 1963), inaugural address, 1961
My Add: To begin in itself can be an accomplishment, but it is only the start to the WICKED things we can do. And it reminds me of a Dr. Suess book/ saying... "Oh the thinks we can think, if only we try." & "Rhyme time"... So much growth has come from such thinking; that it is truly a sad day, if we "give up" on ourselves this way. Mondays don't have to be "manic"... (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 402
"Follow the path of the unsafe, independent thinker. Expose your ideas to the dangers of controversy. Speak your mind and fear less the label of 'crackpot' than the stigma of conformity. And on issues that seem important to you, stand up and be counted at any cost."~Thomas J. Watson
My Add: For with self expression comes FREEDOM, while in conformity lies sameness. And with that sameness, comes the trained & unthinking mind. Who want to be like a ROBOT!?!? NOT ME!!! FREEDOM FREEDOM FREEDOM is what the people cry!!! Spreading the LOVE... (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 403
"The most powerful factors in the world are clear ideas in the minds of energetic men of good will."~J. Arthur Thomson
My Add: These are the "backbones" of our culture, technology, and even ourselves as individuals. For it's the good intentions for the "greater good" put into action that brings us our "evolutions" of yesterday, today, & tomorrow. Here's to all those before us that have "dug their feet in", and given it their best!!! For without them, MUCH would have been lost. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 404
"There are only two kinds of scholars; those who love ideas and those who hate them."~Emile Chartier
My Add: With ideas usually comes change, and for some, the "fear" of it. Change can bring both good and bad "elements" to any situation. Those that hate them, usually fear the possibilities of "stepping outside their comfort zones"/ change. Those brave enough for any possibility, usually have adventurous souls and LOVE ideas. If it's researched, it can bring a "new light" to possible changes and be accepted easier, "molded to fit" individual situations, and understood better. I've always said... 'When in doubt, look it up". Leaving me Thirsty for more!
HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 405
"This is my answer to the gap between ideas and action - I will write it out."~Hortense Calisher
My Add: We can all "answer to the gap" by taking action! We just need to put our "foot forward", and take that first step. Motivation may not always be there. But if we at least try to break through the "barrier", more often than not, we shall "concur" the procrastination "hurdles". WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 406
"What's the use of a good quotation if you can't change it?"~Doctor Who
My Add: What good is a quotation change, if you can't use it? There are many ways some things can be "seen", it matters what perspectives we have. This is where "objectivity" can come in. To try to see every way possible, is easier to see not only "both sides of the story", but also to figure out what the actual truth is. Let's stay objective! Happy not so manic monday!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 407
"Nothing changes your opinion of a friend so surely as success - yours or his."~Franklin P. Jones, Saturday Evening Post, November 29, 1953
My Add: Success comes in many forms. It could be through advancements in our business or personal lives/ jealousy from the friend - something that the friend did/ said; or a change of our perspectives/ beliefs. Whatever the reason, we must remember that they still are/ were our friend. Staying kind towards them never hurts, and could "repair" any possible "hard feelings" towards each other in the future. Spreading the Love... HAPPY TWISTER TUESDAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 408
"I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult."~E. B. White (1899 - 1985)
My Add: While I attempt to "change the world" with positivity each day, it tends to keep me online ALL day. I try to break from this to get other things done also, but it just doesn't happen many days unless I actually have errands to run. SO, I made it one of my New Year's resolutions. Maybe this reminder will help me to change some "habits". Change is good. It can help us "tweak" what's needed, it brings a "breathe of fresh air", it encourages us to do better, and of course it can free our souls. What better day than today. After all, there's no time like the present. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 409
"The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it."~Flannery O'Connor (1925 - 1964)
My Add: If we can't "stomach" the truth, maybe it's time for change. The undesired truth, will always stay the same if we don't. It's like being "stuck in a rut"... We must keep "trudging" upward and outward if we are to "escape" such things. After all, when discovering ourselves we are always changing/ improving. And of course, we are like wine... getting better with age. Leaves me "thirsty" for more.
HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 410
"Human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives."~William James (1842 - 1910)
My Add: Those who are "close minded/ hearted" will not welcome change. And will have a very hard time accepting any. We MUST stay open to change if we are to see any objectivity at all. And once we do see "both sides of the story", we MUST remain open or all can be lost. Some perspectives we "cling" to could be false/ misleading. Being open & objective, is the only way to truly make any "informed" decisions . From there it may not always be easy, but at least we will know the facts and have the opportunity to change. Let's always try to remain open.
WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 411
"Progress isn't made by early risers. It's made by lazy men trying to find easier ways to do something."~Robert Heinlein (1907 - 1988), Time Enough For Love
My Add: Every Monday can feel this way, and if we succeed in it, then all the better. But we must ask ourselves if we are leaving anything out, as "short cuts" are not always helpful if we do. As it can cause us the need for re-doing such tasks. Let's keep an "eye" on all that needs to be included. (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 412
"Those who speak most of progress measure it by quantity and not by quality."~George Santayana (1863 - 1952)
My Add: It's all about supply & demand. Sometimes when we think we are done, we find we must "get back to the kitchen" to make more! I certainly feel this one today, after I sent off almost a batch and a half (of the 2 batches I made last night) to Zack's school this morning. So I am in the kitchen again making more!!! HAPPY TWISTER TUESDAY!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 413
"Never discourage anyone...who continually makes progress, no matter how slow."~Plato (427 BC - 347 BC)
My Add: Slow is better than not at all. As has been proven time and time again, with practice comes improvements and often speed. After all, as they say... Slow and steady can win the "race". So let's be turtles once in a while I say!!! To get our accuracy down, before attempting to race. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 414
"Education is a progressive discovery of our own ignorance."~Will Durant (1885 - 1981)
My Add: Some say "ignorance is bliss", but is it really? When progressing through our ignorance by education, we learn and grown as individuals. And are we not truly much happier to experiment with new knowledge, and know that we can discover new things? After all... Progression is what changes our world we live in, and we adapt/ change with it. HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 415
"Behold the turtle. He makes progress only when he sticks his neck out."~James Bryant Conant (1893 - 1978)
My Add: Without risk there would be no challenges, and our curiosities could remain "unquenched". Many mysteries, discoveries, and improvements have come from risks taken. Which ones we choose in our lives, is what could make the biggest changes for us. Questions are... Are we "ready, willing, and able" to get the facts for informed decisions/ objectivity, to "accept" the challenges that may come along with this journey, and the possibilities that maybe certain things just should not be done? And most importantly are we willing to remind ourselves to not only keep an open heart and mind through it all, but also that what we do now changes possibilities in our future - good or bad. So here's to the risk takers, the thinkers, and the progressives!!! We ALL have it in us to "be one of the greats"!!!
WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (*@^@*)

Inspiration in the Morning... 416
Timing can be everything in Life, and especially when traveling via local transit systems. If not timed right, we could either be too earlier or too late. Personally, I'd rather be too early, but find myself quite often running behind - too late... thankfully not often. What have I have found that works "like a charm"? Setting my clock 15 minutes fast. Why? Because it gets our brain thinking it is so, and hence helps you to "hurry up" when needed most. Hope this helps you, like it has me. HAPPY TWISTER TUESDAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 417/ 'Afternoon Assmiration'... 3
"Observe due measure, for right timing is in all things the most important factor."~Hesiod (~800 BC), Works and Days
Addictional Add:
When our day's first adventure shows us that our timing is off/ we weren't thinking as clearly as what was apparently needed, we may feel "dread creep in" and think that the whole day will be like this. But this is NOT always true! We can change it, simply by thinking of what else we are doing for the rest of the day. This can help us to prepare better for each task/ adventure along the way. And it may even help them get done quicker/ more effectively. Today may be "Hump Day" (requiring getting over the "hump" of the week), but it doesn't mean we have to "keep the snail's pace"/ suddenly become ignorant (lack of knowledge). Change can be VERY GOOD, and so can our timing!!! HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 418/ 'Afternoon Assmiration'... 4
"The sad news is, nobody owes you a career. Your career is literally your business. You own it as a sole proprietor. You have one employee: yourself. You need to accept ownership of your career, your skills and the timing of your moves."~Andrew Grove, Co-founder and Chairman of Intel Corporation, Only the Paranoid Survive
Addictional Add:
This is true throughout our whole lives, and it is that much more important when we are adults in a business world. For this is why I started & I sincerely offer this business initiative/ "company". To try and have "good timing" with any kind of assistance we may need, for or through each other and those we know. We hope that we can help strengthen ourselves & each other through such timing/ assistance. "Supportive and promotional". And of course to have some fun & great memories along the way!!! HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 419/ 'Afternoon Assmiration'... 5
"There is timing in the whole life of the warrior, in his thriving and declining, in his harmony and discord. Similarly, there is timing in the Way of the merchant, in the rise and fall of capital. All things entail rising and falling timing. You must be able to discern this."~Miyamoto Musashi
Addictional Add:
Supply & Demand! To discern these rising & fallings of timing, is just as important as what we do to prepare for them and what we do/ create. To reach our "target audience" is another factor. We must remember to keep in mind all the "pieces to the puzzle", if we are to be succeed in our attempts. WE CAN DO IT!!!
WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (^^^)

Inspiration in the Morning... 420
"Making decisions about whether to keep and how to organize objects requires categorization skills, confidence in one's ability to remember, and sustained attention. To maintain order, one also needs the ability to efficiently assess the value or utility of an object."~Randy Frost and Gail Steketee, Stuff: Compulsive Hoarding and the Meaning of Things, 2010
My Add: As I get ready for some events coming up, I'm starting into my "purging for others". It won't be easy; but I'm sure if I stick to my organizational & value assessment "skills", I should be able to reach my goal!
HAPPY Not-So-Manic MONDAY!!! (^^^)

Inspiration in the Morning Archives #11

Inspiration in the Morning... 361
"Each person has an ideal, a hope, a dream which represents the soul. We must give to it the warmth of love, the light of understanding and the essence of encouragement."~Colby Dorr Dam
My Add: Without giving it these things, we would never be able to follow our dreams. And if nobody followed their dreams, our world would be in a far darker place now, with many more things wrong. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 362
"The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams."
~ Oprah Winfrey (1954 - ), O Magazine
My Add: Your dreams will always be JUST THAT, if you don't follow them. And if it gets hard along the way... It helps to remember that anything "worth having", is never easy. I say BRING IT ON!!! I'm thirsty for more...
HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 363
"The principles now planted in thy bosom will grow, and one day reach maturity; and in that maturity thou wilt find thy heaven or thy hell."~David Thomas
My Add: Maturity is a longer road than many of us may realize, and we will find ourselves at this point (above quote) at many "stages" of the game we call Life. Reflections, understanding/ realizations, and choices/ decisions will be options/ MUSTS "on our plate" the whole way. For these times/ points in Life, I wish wisdom and balance along our journeys and adventures! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning 364
"We do our children no favour by keeping them near, coddling them, or showing them off to adult visitors. Not that a nursemaid does not sometimes spoil them. But the greatest favour we can do our children is to give visible example of love and esteem to our spouse. As they grow up, they may then look forward to maturity so they too can find such love."~Eucharista Ward, Match For Mary Bennet, 2009
My Add: If we do a "good job" of loving our spouse, this is a WICKED motivator to mature quickly. However, too quickly can deprive/ "stiffle" their freedoms of being children. Better to join in the fun while you can!!! Spreading the LOVE!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 365
"Maturity comes not with age but with the acceptance of responsibility. You are only young once but immaturity can last a lifetime!"~Edwin Louis Cole
My Add: Immaturity will always be with us. Responsibilities are meant to help us grow in so many ways as people, as men & women, and as a species! If we don't take care of them, they will only get bigger and may feel like "growths on our backs". Let's avoid procrastination, and get things taken care of while it's needed. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 366
"Maturity begins to grow when you can sense your concern for others outweighing your concern for yourself."~John MacNaughton
My Add: It's usually obvious that those we love receive our concerns for them. What about all those who may need it that we don't know? Here's something to help us remember...
The time to help others is ALWAYS near.
Let's not only show it during Christmas, but all throughout the year!!!

Leaves me "thirsty" for the kindness' of Christmas season all year round.
HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (^^^)

Inspiration in the Morning... 367
"To live with fear and not be afraid is the final test of maturity."~Edward Weeks
My Add: Fear can work for us, or be one of our "worst enemies". Our decisions during these feelings, decide which one. Will we conquer or be conquered? For us it begins TONIGHT!!!
Where?... The Trunk Show!!!
8 - MIDNIGHT!!! (MUUAAHAHAHAHA!!! LMAO)

"People are such great mysteries. Just when we think we have understood them, a wonderful new aspect shows in them."~Eucharista Ward, Match For Mary Bennet, 2009
My Add: I discovered this at The Trunk Show about a few of us, and I was happy to see it all "go down". THANKZ for the show, and everything else that "went along with it" Kerri Mercer, Tamara Minns, Em Johnson, Joseph Chen, & of course Alan Waugh! (^^^)

Inspiration in the Morning... 369
"I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness for it shows me the stars."~Og Mandino (1923 - 1996)
My Add: Even when we think of something negatively, we can find something positive/ WONDERFUL! It all depends on our perspectives... is your heart and mind open to the possibilities that objectivity can show? Spreading the LOVE like butter!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 370
"Vitality shows in not only the ability to persist but the ability to start over."~F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896 - 1940)
My Add: Wednesdays are known as "Hump Day" for two reasons. One is due to being in the middle of the week, it tends to feel like the longest day of the week. What better day to choose to "start over" with something in need. The second reason is a play on this first reason. What better day to choose for the release of tension that sex brings. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 371
"A true friend knows your weaknesses but shows you your strengths; feels your fears but fortifies your faith; sees your anxieties but frees your spirit; recognizes your disabilities but emphasizes your possibilities."~William Arthur Ward
My Add: Yuppers... "true friends" are the best in the world! To think and act like one isn't as hard as some may think, and to have one is all one really needs. To have several is a blessing! The love shared can live in our hearts, like the brilliance of the sun warming our planet on a hot summer day! Just the thought of it, leaves me "thirsty" for more!!! HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (^^^)

Inspiration in the Morning... 372
"That which the dream shows is the shadow of such wisdom as exists in man, even if during his waking state he may know nothing about it... We do not know it because we are fooling away our time with outward and perishing things, and are asleep in regard to that which is real within ourself."~Philipus Aureolus Paracelsus (1493 - 1541)
My Add: Time to awaken our inner wisdom and realize our potentials! After all they say "there's no time like the present"... and every day we "carry on" IS a present! WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 373
"Of all the self-fulfilling prophecies in our culture, the assumption that aging means decline and poor health is probably the deadliest."~Marilyn Ferguson, The Aquarian Conspiracy, 1980
My Add: BEWARE of the negatives; but also remember there is a positive side as well. Aging brings forth knowledge, experience, and wisdom to be gained. So go forth with an open mind & heart... you never know where it may lead! (*@^@*)

I care for riches, to make gifts
To friends, or lead a sick man back to health
With ease and plenty. Else small aid is wealth
For daily gladness; once a man be done

"It was once said that the moral test of Government is how that Government treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the elderly; and those who are in the shadows of life, the sick, the needy and the handicapped."~Hubert H. Humphrey (1911 - 1978)
My Add: Is this not the moral test of us ALL???
Dedicated to a HEROINE among us! You are AMAZING Melissa... I hope you NEVER change, and never wear yourself out. May LOVE, optimism, and good karma always be by your side!!! LOVE in friendship ALWAYS!!! Wild Wicked Weekend Wishes!!! (*@^@*)

"We have to have the money to do the work we want to do, as well as to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. Fat commissions are good, but not always easy to come by, and each new painting takes its time. So we need to find every way possible to earn extra income from our work."~Elizabeth Aston, The True Darcy Spirit, 2006
My Add: A question that comes to mind... How many ways can we earn "extra" (being beyond any original sale idea) income for any given item? Anything come to your mind? Ideas, ideas, ideas... BRING THEM ON!!! (*@^@*)

Inspiration in the Morning... 378
"I passionately hate the idea of being with it, I think an artist has always to be out of step with his time."~Orson Welles (1915 - 1985)
My Add: If this was not true for most of us artists, then progression would be deprived! Taking away many future "projects", and much variety. And without variety... Life would lose a lot of interests/ inspirations. So HERE'S to NOT "fitting in/ being with it"!!! CHEERS to those of us this "suits"!!! (*@^@*)

Inspiration in the Morning... 379
"Anything that is in the world when you’re born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works. Anything that’s invented between when you’re fifteen and thirty- five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it. Anything invented after you’re thirty-five is against the natural order of things."~Douglas Adams (1952 - 2001), The Salmon of Doubt
My Add: That was how things USE to be. In today's society we have moved away from the "career" years, and moved into the "freelancer no matter what you do" years. Now starting into any business, is more of a "Le Challenge" than ever before - no matter what age. So go forth with an open mind, heart, & courage my friends... for only our efforts & time will tell our outcomes.

"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science."~Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955)

"I'm glad that life isn't like a Christmas song, because if my friends and I were building a snowman and it suddenly came alive when we put a hat on it, I'd probably freak and stab it to death with an icicle."~Matthew Perry
My Add: With our "time of giving" (of ourselves) drawing to a close for this seasonal holiday, it's also now time to "FREAK OUT"... lol No "Frosty" didn't come to life in my yard, but X-mas is only 2 SLEEPS away!!! Are YOU ready???

"Relationships of trust depend on our willingness to look not only to our own interests, but also the interests of others."~Peter Farquharson
My Add: This is just as true with being a parent, as it is in romantic relationships. Either way, we must trust ourselves and know that we are doing our best to look out for those we love. After all anything in Life that matters may not always be easy, but we keep on trying." (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 387
"Some relationships start with fights... But, usually only in romantic comedies. Life's not the movies."~Takayuki Ikkaku, Arisa Hosaka and Toshihiro Kawabata, Animal Crossing: Wild World, 2005
My Add: And Love is worth more than bothering to fight, but we all do it from time to time. And it can be the "relationship killer" if we are not careful with our words, the way things are said, etc... Let's try to refrain from such things, and just HUG when we feel those thoughts "creeping up" on us. Spreading the LOVE is MUCH BETTER, and can help ourselves & others to feel less stress during such times. (^^^)

Inspiration in the Morning... 388
"You will never truly know yourself or the strength of your relationships until both have been tested by adversity."~J. K. Rowling, Harvard Commencement Address, 2008
My Add: No relationship is perfect, and when it comes to Love & trust; both must survive the test of time. There's a couple of sayings that comes to mind/ goes along with this... "If you Love someone, let them go. If they come back, it's meant to be.", & "what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger.". HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (^^^)

"Assumptions are the termites of relationships."~Henry Winkler (1945 - )
My Add: When assumptions come into play, we need to listen to reason and all the facts before decisions are made. Otherwise, aren't we just "giving in" to rumors or possibly false thoughts? Being truthful & fair to ourselves and our partners, is the only way to "see through the fog" and see things for how they truly are. HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY!!! (^^^)

Inspiration in the Morning 390...
"Assumptions are the termites of relationships."~Henry Winkler (1945 - )
My Add: We all know the old saying... "To assume makes an ass out of u and me". Without an open heart & mind, difficulties will arise while discussing anything that could be assumed - to be clarified/ understood/ accepted. Let's stick to the "facts", and stay patient and open. (^^^)

"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."~Albert Camus (1913 - 1960)
My Add: In Canada this "second spring" is the COLD version! And "every leaf is a flower" that gets trampled into the ground and becomes it's "blanket" during the winter. Aaahhh how nature shows inspires us, even in ways of Eco-friendlyness. (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 332
"Fiery colors begin their yearly conquest of the hills, propelled by the autumn winds. Fall is the artist."~Takayuki Ikkaku, Arisa Hosaka and Toshihiro Kawabata, Animal Crossing: Wild World, 2005
My Add: When the winds are warm, Fall truly is a BEAUTIFUL time of year. The artistry alone can take our breath away. Let's not forget that our world plays host to so many inspirations. After all, we "humans" may not be the only artists in our world, but we are the only ones that can choose to portray what we see. Spreading the LOVE of nature today... (^^^)

Inspiration in the Morning ... 333
"For man, autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering together.
For nature, it is a time of sowing, of scattering abroad."~Edwin Teale
My Add: For those of us creatives that LOVE Halloween, it's also time for us to "scatter" ourselves with our own kind of "harvests". HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (^^^)

Inspiration in the Mornings... 334
"I cannot endure to waste anything as precious as autumn sunshine by staying in the house. So I spend almost all the daylight hours in the open air."~Nathaniel Hawthorne (1804 - 1864)
My Add: It's good to do this as often as we can. It helps "clear our heads", gives us some much needed fresh air, and rejuvenates our souls. (^^^)

Inspiration in the Mornings... 335
"There is a harmony
In autumn, and a lustre in its sky,
Which through the summer is not heard or seen,
As if it could not be, as if it had not been!"~Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792 - 1822)
My Add: Autumn is a time of many possibly "hidden" inspirations. It's up to us to discover them. WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (^^^)

"He who rejects change is the architect of decay. The only human institution which rejects progress is the cemetery."~Harold Wilson (1916 - 1995), Speech to the Consultive Assembly of the Council of Europe, Strasbourg, France, January 23, 1967
My Add: This may be the case in many cemeteries today, but they are kept up & "modernized" by many in many ways. Whether it be fresh flowers, new styled tombstones, or landscape design. Art is EVERYWHERE in the cemeteries, it just takes an objective view point to see it. Spreading the LOVE today - for our dead! XO+XO+XO+ (*@^@*)

Inspiration in the Morning... 337
"Perpetual worry will get you to one place ahead of time - the cemetery."~Author Unknown
My Add: Wednesdays can be tough, and we need to get over the week's "hump". Worry leads to stress we don't need, and we can't change everything to be perfect. If we try our best at what we need/ can do, that's all that matters. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (^^^)

Inspiration in the Morning... 338
"Be peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone; but if someone puts his hand on you, send him to the cemetery."~Malcolm X (1925 - 1965), Malcolm X Speaks, 1965
My Add: Being peaceful, courteous, obeying the law, & respecting everyone; is how we want to "travel" in Life, and while journeying through the lands of the dead. After all, they say we only live once. (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 339
"Every man should keep a fair-sized cemetery in which to bury the faults of his friends."~Henry Ward Beecher (1813 - 1887)
My Add: Our friends (like us) are not perfect, and we will find faults. Forgiving them is easier than many think, and a cemetery would be useful for burial of faults from both them & us. Just gotta be careful of expansions, if we want to keep them "in our own back yard".
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 340
"The main things which seem to me important on their own account, and not merely as means to other things, are knowledge, art, instinctive happiness, and relations of friendship or affection."~Bertrand Russell (1872 - 1970)
My Add: Something to remember when times are "trying" in relations of any kind. (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 341
"True happiness is of a retired nature, and an enemy to pomp and noise; it arises, in the first place, from the enjoyment of one's self, and in the next from the friendship and conversation of a few select companions."~Joseph Addison (1672 - 1719), The Spectator, March 17, 1911
My Add: Yes, true happiness is much closer than we may realize. We just need to keep an open heart & mind to see the opportunities. Spreading the LOVE IN FRIENDSHIP!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Mornings... 342
"Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence. True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation."~George Washington (1732 - 1799)
My Add: For nothing worth keeping is easy, and looking before we leap into any intimate relations is a MUST. Otherwise we are "going in blind", and leaving the door of opportunity open for those who would "walk all over us". (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 343
"Never refuse any advance of friendship, for if nine out of ten bring you nothing, one alone may repay you."~Madame de Tencin
My Add: When there is much negativity out there, REAL friends are always welcome. If it turns out to only be the one that stays by our side "through thick & thin", then that's all we need. CHEERS TO REAL FRIENDS!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 344
"To the soul, there is hardly anything more healing than friendship."~Thomas Moore (1779 - 1852)
My Add: The greatest thing about REAL friends: They tell you truths (whether you want to hear them or not), help you through "tough times", appreciate you for who you are, they are "there for you" when you need it most, and of all the people in Life you come across... some actually "last a Lifetime"! Here's to real friends... CHEERS! I LOVE YOU ALL!!! You know who you are... (*@^@*)

"Fashion can be bought. Style one must possess."~Edna Woolman Chase
My Add: There's an old saying that fits this... let's see if I remember it correctly. Only those brave enough to express themselves through fashion, are the ones that possess true style. (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 346
"Fashion is general. Style is individual."~Edna Woolman Chase
My Add: Fashion is made "for the people, by the people". Style is as individual as each of us, and only we can say what we like. After all, we are the ones that are wearing it... we should like it. If not, we can always make it "our own" by alterations. Sharing the LOVE of creativity!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 347
"Fashion is something that goes in one year and out the other."~Unknown
My Add: Fashions may change from year to year, but they also repeat each other. This gives us creatives the chances to "improve" on older fashions, and gives us some predictability of when which fashions may be "in" or "out". Then again, we can always use the old fashions as inspirations for something new. GOTTA LOVE FASHION!!! HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 348
"Don't bend; don't water it down; don't try to make it logical; don't edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly."~Franz Kafka (1883 - 1924)
My Add: Doing this through fashion, is called "expressing ourselves" to some and "personal style" to others. Either way it's a sense of FREEDOM! Something we ALL could use more of... makes me "thirsty" for more!
HAPPY THIRSTY THURSDAY (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 349
"Fashion is for people who don't know who they are."~Quentin Crisp
My Add: It may be like this for some, but many of us that like fashion like to "play" with their clothes. For example: I know who I am, and it has nothing to do with fashion. Fashion is merely a part of my life, for my own entertainment purposes. I like having fun with clothes, to see what "funky" outfits I can come up with.
WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (^^^)

"Nothing on Earth so beautiful as the final haul on Halloween night."~Steve Almond
My Add: I disagree with this quote unless CASH was the "haul", because unfortunately cash is what's ALWAYS needed. And OF COURSE, our CHILDREN are more beautiful. It's funny how this is the ONLY Halloween quote I found...
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!! (*@^@*)

Inspiration in the Morning... 351
"Candy Is dandy
But liquor Is quicker."~Ogden Nash (1902 - 1971), "Reflections on Ice-Breaking"
My Add: Besides the obvious "happy" affect that both can give, I'm guessing liquor's quicker with the sugar rush here too. We all need something from time to time, to help us feel "happy". But the best way is still to enjoy your surroundings & the people in them. Spreading the LOVE! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 352
"Anyone who uses the phrase 'easy as taking candy from a baby' has never tried taking candy from a baby."~Unknown
My Add: Just because it's possible to do something, doesn't mean that it SHOULD be done. If it causes others to cry, it could be a sign that it shouldn't be done. Considering others' feelings are always a must, as it could cause other difficulties "in the long run" of things. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 353
"I don't want someone shoving his views down my throat, unless they're covered in a crunchy candy shell."~Stephen Colbert, The Colbert Report, May 2, 2006
My Add: The "crunchy candy shell" of course would be something beneficiary to the receiver of such "shoving". This is where objectivity comes in "handy". Open heart, open mind, & sometimes LOTS of patience. If used, it can leave you "thirsty" for more knowledge. Happy "Thirsty Thursday"!!! (*@^@*)

Inspiration in the Morning... 354
"On Valentine's Day, millions of men give millions of women flowers, cards and candy as a heartfelt expression of the emotion that also motivates men to observe anniversaries and birthdays: fear."~Dave Barry (1947 - ), Miami Herald, Dec. 28, 2003
My Add: Isn't it funny how fear also motivates people to remember Halloween? Fear is a powerful motivator, but we should remember to not "abuse the power". I find the common yearn for PEACE, to be a more powerful motivator.

"There is absolutely no inevitability as long as there is a willingness to contemplate what is happening."~Marshall McLuhan (1911 - 1980)

"I have noticed that the people who are late are often so much jollier than the people who have to wait for them."~E. V. Lucas

"Formulate and stamp indelibly on your mind a mental picture of yourself as succeeding. Hold this picture tenaciously. Never permit it to fade. Your mind will seek to develop the picture...Do not build up obstacles in your imagination."~Norman Vincent Peale (1898 - 1993)
My Add: Those of us that have "dreams" of succeeding in Life know that this is a good way to start "climbing the ladder". Those of us that area late "bloomers" with business ideas, also know... Better late than NEVER! The time to start... NOW! WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (*@^@*)

"Youth would be an ideal state if it came a little later in life."~Herbert Henry Asquith (1852 - 1928)
My Add: Life's definitely not always as easy, when you're older. If youth could come with all the knowledge already gained any time after we're oh say 30 ish, that would be WICKED too. Do you think we can put in a request? lmao
REALLY, we are as youthful in spirit as we wish/ allow ourselves. Youth can "spring eternal" this way. Let's just try to stay out of REAL trouble. "Harmless trouble" is better. (^^^)

"I have found the best way to give advice to your children is to find out what they want and then advise them to do it."~Harry S Truman (1884 - 1972)
My Add: This goes for everyone, as it IS much easier to give advice if you know what they want, and what the topic of interest is. It leads to enjoyment, knowledge, and a better understanding of the interest; and encourages us to do things we like. And It could also change our lives, with a "job" that we actually ENJOY!!! Spreading the LOVE! (*@^@*)

"Don't limit a child to your own learning, for he was born in another time."~ Rabbinical Saying
My Add: Girl or boy, they are in a new era... one we can only guess what may happen. Our children ARE our future of the WORLD!!! We must let them be free to explore & learn; if things are to be discovered and hopefully helpful for our planet's improvements. (^^^)

"Children are all foreigners."~Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 - 1882)
My Add: Because everything is NEW to them, it's like learning a new language. Everything must be learned, experimented with, and the like. Let's help them the best that we can... without our own prejudices, biases, and the ugly tempers of intolerance we all can have. It may be harder than "the easy way", but it's definitely WORTH IT!!! CHEERS TO OUR CHILDREN!!! (*@^@*)

"Fate chooses your relations, you choose your friends."~Jacques Delille
My Add: Some friends are temporary, some are for life. Some are "real", some are fake. Those that are going to stay with you "through thick or thin" are the REAL friends. Fake friends are only there to steal from you, deceive you, use you, or all of the above. These I call "frienemies". Let's keep the REAL friends, and rid ourselves of the stresses of frienemies. "Don't worry about people stealing an idea. If it's original, you will have to ram it down their throats."~Howard Aiken (1900 - 1973)
My Add: Photography is an art form, and deserves the same respects as any other. Posting pics BEFORE the time of release, is still considered as "stealing". It steals the possibility of the pic(s) in question being used when time comes. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE... PLEASE REMOVE THE PIC. Thankz (^^^)

"Follow your passion. Stay true to yourself. Never follow someone else's path unless you're in the woods and you're lost and you see a path. By all means, you should follow that."~Ellen DeGeneres, Tulane Commencement Speech, 2009
My Add: Which path we choose is completely up to us... but we will be much happier in Life, & with ourselves; if we choose to stay true to ourselves & those we care for. (^^^)

"When you encounter difficulties and contradictions, do not try to break them, but bend them with gentleness and time."~Saint Francis de Sales (1567 - 1622)
My Add: Plans can change and add more difficulties, but there is usually a way around them. Sometimes we just need to keep our minds open to see it, or to accept the help of others. Either way sometimes this "way around" can also be a BETTER way. Here's to staying positive & hopefull! (^^^)

"My education was dismal. I went to a series of schools for mentally disturbed teachers."~Woody Allen (1935 - )
My Add: Let us not forget that WE are "interviewing" the teachers for the role of teaching our children. NOT the other way around for the school to allow us the "priviledge" of teaching our kids if they like us parents as a person. School is meant to teach the positives of academics. (^^^)

"The school of hard knocks is an accelerated curriculum."~Menander (342 BC - 292 BC)
My Add: It's curriculum is every day, and in every way. It is sometimes unforgiving, cold, and "heartless"; but "what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger". As we are, or as improved individuals, depends on what we do with the information learned. Let's go forth, and strive to become better than we are. HAPPY FREEDOM HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)

"A sense of curiosity is nature's original school of education."~Dr. Smiley Blanton
My Add: Without curiosity we would not have advancement in MANY things... including ourselves. Continual "construction" of who we are/ want to be is an ongoing journey, that takes our curious mind through many adventures. Let's not forget that learning is NOT JUST in school, and we can learn something new EVERY day. (*@^@*)

"Out of life's school of war: What does not destroy me, makes me stronger."~ Friedrich Nietzsche (1844 - 1900), The Twilight of the Idols (1899)
My Add: School is not JUST in the classroom; and life can be full of "obstacles", disappointments, and failures. What we do after is what can keep our world the same, or change it for the better. Keeping our hearts & minds in the realm of positive "perspectives", can really help. (^^^)

"The Past: Our cradle, not our prison; there is danger as well as appeal in its glamour. The past is for inspiration, not imitation, for continuation, not repetition."~Israel Zangwill
My Add: Inspiration and continuation make a great "team" when applied to unfinished projects, and improvements of. When improvements become "progression", it evolves into a NEW invention. But objective view points are needed, before we can be "inventors". (^^^)

Inspiration in the Morning... 319
"Education is a progressive discovery of our own ignorance."~Will Durant (1885 - 1981)

Inspiration in the Morning... 320
"Progress might have been all right once, but it has gone on too long."~Ogden Nash (1902 - 1971)
My Add: When we feel this way, it usually means that it's either time to finish the "project", or move onto another. We don't want to become "stagnant" with our thoughts on any project, so it's always good to "take a small break" if needed. But it's equally as important to get back to it, and "finish what we started".
Happy HUMP DAY!!! (^^^)

"All progress is based upon a universal innate desire on the part of every organism to live beyond its income."~ Samuel Butler (1835 - 1902), Notebooks, 1912

Actually, people had been living full and imaginative lives on the continent of North America for hundreds of years before that. 1492 was simply the year sea pirates began to rob, cheat, and kill them."~Kurt Vonnegut (1922 - 2007), Breakfast of Champions

"Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save."~Will Rogers (1879 - 1935)

"The best and safest thing is to keep a balance in your life, acknowledge the great powers around us and in us. If you can do that, and live that way, you are really a wise man."~Euripides (484 BC - 406 BC)

"The brain is a wonderful organ. It starts working the moment you get up in the morning and does not stop until you get into the office."~Robert Frost (1874 - 1963)

My Add: Nothing like Dr. Suess to set things straight. What we do with the knowledge we have, and where we go in Life IS up to each of us. Let's never forget that we have CHOICES, and that WE "steer" our own paths.

"Ideas must work through the brains and arms of men, or they are no better than dreams."~Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 - 1882)

"Nothing contributes so much to tranquilizing the mind as a steady purpose - a point on which the soul may fix its intellectual eye."~Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley (1797 - 1851)

Aaaahhh... clarity, you have always been a sought after friend. (^^^)

"Brains, like hearts, go where they are appreciated."~Robert S. McNamara (1916 - ), former U.S. Secretary of Defense
My Add: If you know where you're appreciated, then great. For those that don't, maybe it's time to take that "step back" for a better objective viewpoint. After all even when we ask opinions of friends, only WE know the full details to make the "informed" decisions. Don't be fooled now, only truth can be our guide. (^^^)

"Man's main task in life is to give birth to himself, to become what he potentially is."~Erich Fromm (1900 - 1980)
My Add: Once we "find ourselves" through our potentials, "miracles" can happen. All we need is an open mind & heart, and the confidence & courage to trust ourselves for growth. No one said "HUMP DAYS" like these would be easy... Let's not give up!!! (*@^@*)

Inspiration in the Morning... 272
"There are admirable potentialities in every human being. Believe in your strength and your youth. Learn to repeat endlessly to yourself, 'It all depends on me.' "~Andre Gide (1869 - 1951)
My Add: Strength & youth live in us all our lives, and repetition is the best way to learn. Everything we want, will always depend on our own actions & decisions. Let's keep it positive. (*@^@*)
+++
CANADA DAY: Should there be an 'Inspiration in the Morning' this day? After all living in Canada & knowing some of us "creatives" here, and all our Canadian actors, etc... Isn't THAT inspiration??? I LOVE CANADA!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 273
I've been rearranging, and my closet again is being re-organized. WOO HOO!!! Time to get some serious costume choosing opportunities available!!! Anyone up for the Halloween calendar shoot this month, will have an easier time looking through things!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 274
With BIG organizational tasks, I find it best to take it one step at a time and have at least 1 helper for things that are too heavy to lift ourselves. If your helper is good at organizing, then ask for their help. Otherwise, it may cause stressses of your friend/ helper getting in the way or putting things in the wrong place(s). HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 275
Sometimes we need a break from the BIG organizational tasks, so we can "see" our efforts. This can be an important motivation to continue, and gives us a chance to "change" things if we feel it's needed. Yup, sometimes the old "one step back", can help us to take "two steps forward". (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 276
Nothing "worth it" is ever easy, or done without effort. BIG organizational tasks can be overwhelming, but if we keep at it a little at a time... we may find it done before we realize it. WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 277
After an attempt to catch a SUNDAY bus and missing it, I walked a long distance yesterday. This could have been a deterrent, but I knew I would be happy once it was over... not just because it was over, but also because of where I was going. It was REALLY nice to take a night off from home. Goes to show us, unwanted tasks now, can lead us to happiness later. (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 278
Organizations are not always "behind the scenes", and a lot of times are VERY necessary. We must NOT forget the "big picture" when it comes to these things, and remember that it may be these little details that help a LOT. Getting more organized takes motivation & determination. Without them, procrastination can defeat us. (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 279
Worked hard in the closet yesterday... got a WHOLE side of the room reorganized, & unpacked a large bin!!! WOO HOO!!! Pics coming to 'Chris' Closet' soon... (*@^@*)
+++

"Don't agonize. Organize."~Florynce Kennedy
My Add: If you're not organized, finding things can be agony. Sooo happy to be getting more and more organized each time I go in my closet. Hmmm... may be time for a beer to celebrate tonight. (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 281
What started out as visiting one of us yesterday, turned into a 'Meeting of the Minds'. How WONDERFUL to see you all & get to "know another side" of you!!! You know who you are... (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 282
This weekend included 3 photo shoots; 1 started it off in the early afternoon, and ALL were with great people... Gotta LOVE FWFF!!! Sorry, but pics won't come until all shoots are done, and all calendar pics are decided on. (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 283
There's nothing quite like going through pics... some are good, some are bad... but they're all GREAT memories!!! For those that have "come out to play" with the Halloween calendar photo shoots... I'm glad to see some new faces, and some repeats. THANKZ so much for the fun!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 284
After helping others with a project yesterday, I am reminded of how collaboration really is a resource. Whether helping or getting help, it's the involvement that gives us experience and allows us fun social interaction with others. These are "visits" that are always welcome, and can be lots of FWFF (fun with family & friends). CHEERS to collaborating, & HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 285
Some times we get caught up in the momentum of movement, and "wear ourselves thin". Without much needed breaks we may lack our full concentration, and we may not be happy with the outcome. At times like these sleep and a lot of "R&R" is called for... and of course some time with our loved ones. (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 286
Editing, editing, editing... It's sooo nice to have so many to edit after 3 great shoots from last weekend. Now for this weekend... let's see what "comes around". Hmmm... Maybe it's time for a dip in the pool... sounds like FWFF (fun with family & friends) to me!!! Wild Wicked Weekend Wishes!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 287
When you are always busy with business, it's hard to spend time with those you love. We MUST remember to make time for them... after all, they quite often are our major supports & help. Starting this week off right, and giving recognition to those "behind the scenes"!!! I LOVE you all... you know who you are! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 288
In honour of "one voice day" (too bad it's not time to vote)... Our voices are marvelous! We can do sooo many things with it. Whisper, talk, yell, whistle, hum, sing, call other animals (if we know how)... all forms of communication. It is important that we use it towards those that are in "power" to voice our needs & stand up for our rights!!! Let's not waste it! (*@^@*)
Of course those in "power" could be parents, older siblings, caregivers, teachers, etc... and yes, politicians (BLAH!). If we remain silent, we remain "voiceless".
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 289
I always find it inspirational to talk with fellow artists... It's AMAZING what can "be in the works" when done. It can even give me "homework", but at least it's the kind I WANT to do. Sooo many possibilities coming up, it's mind bogglingly WICKED!!! HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 290
Some days you wake up still tired... could be the rain. Many seem to get sad with the rain, when in fact it should be the other way. Rain brings LIFE to ALL things living. Without it, we would not have MANY of the things we enjoy daily... including plants, animals, food, ourselves, and each other. CHEERS to the rain!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 291
When involved in big events. it is always helpful to prepare early. Especially if it involves making arrangements/ packing. Otherwise, procrastination can get the better of us later if we don't. Spent 3 hrs in my closet packing for my last "open to the public" Halloween calendar shoot last night. WOO HOO!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 292
"An empowered organization is one in which individuals have the knowledge, skill, desire, and opportunity to personally succeed in a way that leads to collective organizational success."~Stephen Covey, Principle-centered Leadership
My Add: When becoming a "collective" group; communication, effort persistence, and staying optimistic are keys. We, are no exception to this. (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 293
"The creative act is not performed by the artist alone; the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act."~Marcel Duchamp
My Add: Without an "audience" of sorts, an artists work is unnoticed, unappreciated, and lives only in the artist. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 294
Preparing for things is never "easy", and there's always lots to think about. It's important to write a list (or more than one if necessary); of what's needed to be brought, what errands may need to be ran prior to, and anything that may have been forgotten. On that note... I think I'm almost ready for Saturday... got lots done yesterday, but not everything. Let's hope it's all done in time... (^^^)

Inspiration in the Morning... 295
In honour of "International Beer Day": "We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us."~Charles Bukowski (1920 - 1994)
My Add: Life is short, and meant to be enjoyed in many ways. Any sense of freedom is a "golden ticket", that can help reduce Life's stresses. Why worry so much... instead let's cause the tremble!!! Doing this at the party tomorrow!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 296
"The supreme accomplishment is to blur the line between work and play."~Arnold Toynbee (1889 - 1975)
My Add: Many say that my "work" IS play... lol I guess I've succeeded then... & I try to share every time a project involves FWFF. May there be many more to come!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 297
"Beyond talent lie all the usual words: discipline, love, luck -- but, most of all, endurance."~James Baldwin (1924 - 1987)
My Add: Endurance, motivation, & a faith that things will work out, is what gets us through many "trials & tribulations". Not only in Life, but also our creative endeavors. Motivation & faith are not enough. Without endurance we give up MANY hopes, dreams, and possible realities. (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 298
"If you wish success in life, make perseverance your bosom friend, experience your wise counselor, caution your elder brother and hope your guardian genius."~ Joseph Addison (1672 - 1719)
My Add: Perseverance is SUCH a useful tool, that we would be foolish to cast it aside so easily with procrastination. Continuing pic. editing... THANKZ for the FWFF!!! (*@^@*)
+++

"The brain is a wonderful organ. It starts working the moment you get up in the morning and does not stop until you get into the office."~Robert Frost (1874 - 1963)
My Add: Brain kicks in before alarm, then I can't sleep. At my "office"... sleep wants me back. Resistance kicks my brain into high gear by 10am. Now to get more done... WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (^^^)

Inspiration in the Morning... 241
"Frugality without creativity is deprivation."~Amy Dacyczyn
My Add: Yup... A theme week!!! Why be frugal with creating, when you can add sooo much more detail/ quality to the item when you "spend that extra dollar"... Don't go out of your budget now. Why not use today's "extra time" - being Hump day - to do the "research/ development"? LOVE to you all!!! HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (^^^)
P.S. It's 'Tease ta Tuesday'
FIXED:
COMMENT:
By me: Ooops... thought it said "Frugality WITHIN creativity..." LMAO
Now for the way it ACTUALLY is:
If we are to be frugal, creativity should "come out to play". For if it doesn't, there may be deprivation of a possibly wonderful creation!!!
(^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 242
"Creativity represents a miraculous coming together of the uninhibited energy of the child with its apparent opposite and enemy, the sense of order imposed on the disciplined adult intelligence."~Norman Podhoretz
My Add: Uninhibited energy + the sense of order imposed on the disciplined adult intelligence= one organized chaos. A.K.A. "The Artist". (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 243
"Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep."~Scott Adams (1957 - ), 'The Dilbert Principle'
My Add: It can be a fine line between these two, but our hearts usually know. If it is too hard to distinguish, ask a fellow artist for their opinion. As I have said before... 'When in doubt, check it out! ' HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (^^^) (Judy Cruickshank likes this) Comments:
~Ooops... This was on Thursday!!! LMAO
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 244
"Creativity is a drug I cannot live without."~Cecil B. DeMille (1881 - 1959)
My Add: So many inspirations spark our imaginations/ creativity, and cause such beauty in our world... Without creativity progressive thoughts and variety get "lost in the fog". As I've always said 'Variety is the spice in Life'!!!
Wild Wicked Weekend Wishes!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 245
"Unshakable confidence starts with the way you think."~Robert G. Allen

+++
My words: Inspiration in the Morning... 246
As Bruce Lee says... Fear, hatred, and anger are our "inner demons".
We must have an open love filled heart & mind to find peace, joy and spiritual prosperity. Not violence, anger, and fear as solutions/ uncontrolled reactions to conflicts & problems.
"Real": honest, and respectful to ourselves & those around us.
HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 247
Today is the "ultimate mood" day/ "Thirsty Thursday", and I'm thirsty for more info. on several things for different projects. Yup, things like this is what puts me in the "ultimate mood". Wicked Wishes!!! (^^^)

“It's exhilarating to be alive in a time of awakening consciousness; it can also be confusing, disorienting, and painful.” ~ Adrienne Rich
My Add: Confusion, disorientation, and pain should not be seen as a deterrent... only as part of the learning process that can be "harnessed" for better uses. Let's not stop the creating, when it can make this world a better place. (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 250!!!
Today marks our 1 YEAR anniversary for my "Inspiration in the Morning"s!!!

+++
Inspiration in the Morning.... 251
“The willing, Destiny guides them; the unwilling, Destiny drags them" ~ Seneca
My Add: Hump days can certainly feel this way, but it's also the longest day of the week. Let's not get discouraged; for it is the "slow and steady turtle" that wins the race!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 252
We who know the error in understanding of thousands of years, must be the kind hand that guides them home to the light! This is true with MANY aspects of Life, and requires caution not only while guiding, but also for those of us being guided. Life is "tricky", we usually only get ONE chance to succeed... let's not take it for granted. (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 253
It's not the one who holds negative prospectives, actions, and judgments against others that count; it's the one that strives valiantly through the 'arena of errs', and (despite shortcomings) attempts to "give themselves" to worthy causes.
Let's keep up the valiant efforts... shall we?
WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... #254
"I have never met a vampire personally, but I don't know what might happen tomorrow."-Bela Lugosi
My Add: A lot can happen "tomorrow", so let's be as prepared for "change" as we can. With an open heart & mind to welcome it, and a free spirit to enjoy it. Those with spontaneous souls, are usually more prepared; but it doesn't mean the rest of us can't be also. (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... #255
"There are two levels of vampirism: one is the regular vampire, which is just like it has always been; and then there's the super vampires, which are a new breed we've created."~Guillermo del Toro
My Add: Our ability to take something already in existence, and improve on it/ turn it into something else. NEVER forget this is one of our "SUPERPOWERS"!!! Spreading the LOVE!!! (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... #256

My Add: To me this is what UrbanEx does. By helping others to "walk in someone else's shoes", with "moments of truth", etc... and of course by their excellent fundraiser. HAPPY HUMP DAY!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... #262
"What helps luck is a habit of watching for opportunities, of having a patient, but restless mind, of sacrificing one's ease or vanity, of uniting a love of detail to foresight, and of passing through hard times bravely and cheerfully."~ Charles Victor Cherbuliez
My Add: For one to practice what helps luck, is for one to excel in Life. This is UrbanEx' influence, as they "walk a mile" & involve others selflessly. I LOVE UrbanEx!!! Yup, they put me in the "ultimate mood". (*@^@*)

Inspiration in the Morning... #264
"An optimist is the human personification of spring."~Susan J. Bissonette
My Add: Optimism, like spring, can bring the hope of "blossoms" to our lives. It's home is among our perspectives & beliefs... We must keep positive thinking "at our sides" if we are to keep it. (^^^)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 265
"Optimism, n. The doctrine or belief that everything is beautiful, including what is ugly."~ Ambrose Bierce (1842 - 1914), The Devil's Dictionary
My Add: We all sometimes "wear these glasses", it's the cause of Love being "blind" and the Hope that forever shines in our hearts. Without optimism, many of us could not survive the negatives of Life. (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 266
"Few things in the world are more powerful than a positive push. A smile. A word of optimism and hope. A "you can do it" when things are tough."~ Richard M. DeVos

+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 267
"Perpetual optimism is a force multiplier."~Colin Powell (1937 - )

+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 268
"The highest result of education is tolerance."~Helen Keller (1880 - 1968), 'Optimism,' 1903
My Add: Without tolerance, MANY things would not occur. I find tolerance to come from the optimistic hopes of things getting better/ changing for the better. Only when "the facts" are not known, is this a"blind" hope. CHEERS to tolerance!!! WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (*@^@*)
+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 269
"To get the best out of a man go to what is best in him."~Daniel Considine

+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 270

"No plan survives first contact with the enemy!" - Helmuth von Moltke (Prussian General Field Marshal)

Inspiration in the Morning... 221
“You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, 'Why not?'” ~ George Bernard Shaw

+++
Inspiration in the Morning... 222
"Often we allow ourselves to be upset by small things we should despise and forget. Creativity may come easy to some, and hard to others. Sometimes "blocks" happen, and hesitation sets in. Don't hesitate to start, when the ideas come. It can lead to procrastination, and in turn to never doing it. We must remember that we can always work on another project... so many to do, so little time in Life to do them ALL!!! HAPPY HUMP DAY EVERYONE!!! (^^^)
Comment from Matt J Ibele: Im the opposite if I start something then I dont want to stop till its finished...so I procrastinate not to do anything unless im really inspired or bored lol

“There are only two forces in the world, the sword and the spirit. In the long run the sword will always be conquered by the spirit.” ~ Napoleon Bonaparte
My Add: We all can conquer many things with our spirits, let's not lose faith in ourselves and our abilities on this rainy Monday. Starting the week anew like a virgin!!! (^^^)
Comment from me: This was one of the most violent men in history who said this... Kinda makes me wonder what "words of wisdom" Anne Bonne or Mary Read may have said. Yes, even "pirates"!!! Check out this link... http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=129346687081159

“Whether one believes in a religion or not, and whether one believes in rebirth or not, there isn't anyone who doesn't appreciate kindness and compassion.” ~ Dalai Lama
My Add: Isn't this the way it should be through EVERYTHING we do??? When kindness & compassion is in our heart & mind, it "shines through" and is evident... even in the things we create!!! Spreading the LOVE today... (^^^)

Rewording Kip Baldwin: The journey of being what we are & hope to be, started when we were young. Learning from moments of failure, passing on negatives; and being honest & "real". It is these moments that turn into forgotten yesterdays, and set the "backbone" for our tomorrows. Let's not forget what we learned, and use it for good intentions/ purposes. (^^^)

"As you become more clear about who you really are, you'll be better able to decide what is best for you - the first time around."~Oprah Winfrey, O Magazine
My ADD: No matter what passions we may want to pursue, this MUST be kept in mind during decision making times. Otherwise, in hindsight we may see that we could be taking a step backwards. (^^^)

"The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious."~Albert Einstein
My Add: From this our imagination can spark sooo many ideas. Why waste it by staying idle? Time to continue into the future with our ever curios minds & hearts... Watch the first step; it can "take a lot out of you", but it returns sooo much more!!! (^^^)

"My philosophy is that not only are you responsible for your life, but doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment."~Oprah Winfrey (1954)
My Add: Let's keep our "objectivity glasses" on during decisions to help keep our perspectives accurate. For without the emotions attached, things may be a lot clearer. Let's use it to it's full potential!!! (^^^)

"Depend upon it, after all, Thomas, Literature is the most noble of professions. In fact, it is about the only one fit for a man. For my own part, there is no seducing me from the path."~Edgar Allan Poe, From a letter to Frederick W. Thomas (February 14, 1849).
My Add: For me it's the broader spectrum of creativity. Sooo much can be done with it!!! What about you? (^^^)

"The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources."~Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955)
My Add: I've often debated on this, as we are a group that inspires others... So MOST of our sources are shared. Feel free to "snag them up" from the links we've posted, and I hope that you find what you're looking for here. WILD WICKED WEEKEND WISHES!!! (*@^@*)
Comments:
Brad Crothers I used to listen to U2 back in the late 80's/early 90's (you know, when they were worth listening to) There's a lyric in the song "The Fly" on Achtung Baby: "Every artist is a canibal, every poet is a thief. All kill their inspiration, then sing about the grief."
Wild Wicked Women - Creative Group WOW!!! Powerful words... my "perception": artists are cannibals & poets are thieves in the sense that we use our surroundings, but are also inspired by other artists & poets. Would you agree Brad?
Brad Crothers I took it as artists and poets' creations are partly driven by the creations of others. And whether I like it or not, there's a lot of people who plagiarize and claim things as their own. Thanks for the "inspiration in the morning!"
Wild Wicked Women - Creative Group Totally agree with you as well... and np... I like doing these inspiration in the mornings... (^^^)

My Add: I have encountered this experience not only with mending/ altering clothing, but also with quiting bad habits like smoking, and raising my children. A creative "bone" is in all of us, all we need do is use our imaginations!!! (^^^)
